MWBE 2016 Conference — Home

NYSTRS will host its sixth annual MWBE Investments and Professional Services Conference on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016 at System offices, located at 10 Corporate Woods Drive in Albany.

The conference theme of Expanding Access, Increasing Opportunities will again introduce potential asset managers and brokers, as well as professional and financial service providers, to the Retirement System. Attendees will leave with a greater understanding of the System’s portfolio and investment needs, as well as a knowledge of the abilities and qualifications NYSTRS expects of its business partners.

The conference will be a full-day program with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. The conference will commence with a welcome and overview of the Retirement System by NYSTRS Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer Thomas K. Lee.

The afternoon workshops will consist of breakout sessions by asset class – public equities (asset managers and brokers), private equity, real estate, fixed income and professional services (legal, real estate and financial). Similar to past conferences, the workshops will allow attendees to meet with NYSTRS managing directors and staff for a full two hours. Please refer to the Conference Agenda and Workshop Overview pages for additional information.

Space is limited. NYSTRS encourages you to register as soon as possible. Online registration will open at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 and will close at 4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, or when the conference registration has reached full capacity. Should you have any questions about the event, please email us at MWBE@nystrs.org.
